An AMBER alert was issued in Alabama after authorities say a 2-year-old girl was abducted Wednesday in Anniston by her father.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency alleged Catalina Chloe Rimpsey, 2, was abducted by Freddy Victory Rimpsey, Sr., 75, in Anniston. The girl was last seen around 11:30 a.m.
Police are looking for a navy and tan 1999 Ford Econoline E150 van with the Alabama tag 11FP201. Rimpsey may be on his way to Chicago with the girl, authorities said.
Catalina was believed to be in “extreme danger,” according to the alert. She as described as a black girl with black hair and brown eyes, 36 inches tall and weighing 31 pounds.
Rimpsey Sr. was described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds. He is known to visit a store on the Alabama-Georgia state line to play the lottery.
