Shortly after the successful collaboration with Gentle Monster, Fendi is back with the captivating Roma/Amor collection, launched on 14 May at the Marina Bay Sands store. As Fendi infuses vibrancy and fluorescence into their third capsule collection involving its iconic double F logo, the Italian luxury house  indulges its appreciation for contemporary art with graffiti artist Pref to install a new chapter in its “FF” series. As the creative minds intertwine, the whimsical collaboration presents a popping range of ready-to-wear options for men, women and even kids with a spectrum of 3-Dimensional glamour.

Fun and Popping

Fendi has narrowed down to British tagger Pref, who is well-know for his astounding flair in pop 3D lettering. The collection includes 3D-effect graphics in the shape of a parallelepiped or multi-coloured waves. An exemplification of this technique would be the marquetry-like patterns as seen on the oversized leather bomber jacket. Other than the playful take on dimensions and lettering, some eccentric sense and lively persona have been injected into the Roma/Amor capsule collection with the upscaled vibrancy of colour. Neon colours are also interjected into the collection to elevate the designs with freshness and youth.

New and Refreshed “FF”

Casual pieces from the menswear range includes T-shirts and joggers, which are embellished with the refreshed FF monogram — wavy, in a rainbow-hued colour. The logo takes on a 3D-effect when patched onto a leather bomber jacket, its bold colours stealing the spotlight on the all-black outerwear. Another highlight piece is the oversized neon green puffer, juxtaposed with the house signature brown FF on the interior side of the garment to make sure the wearer stands out even while taking off his jacket.

À La Mode

Besides the comfort and practicality that reign in this capsule collection, props go to the street and sportswear-inspired creations that are spiced with the collection’s emblematic graphics. Be it printed or embroidered onto style essentials, the Roma/Amor effect lends its lifting hand to the street-smart appeal of modern menswear.
