Unveiling a couture botanical cloakroom, the designer created flora-themed pieces enhanced with delicate embroidered details. Photographs of Catherine Dior (or Miss Dior), Christian Dior’s sister, were an inspiration for the SS2020 collection. Particularly a collection which show her among her flowers, in her garden, (Catherine had a renowned passion for gardening).
Catherine was arguably a gardener in the most complete and profound sense of the word. A free, independent woman, acting in harmony with the breath of nature and the cycle of the seasons. The first perfume of the House was named in his honour.
