Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia has officially kicked-off in Sydney showcasing new styles from the nation’s most innovative designers and the latest in menswear trends. One of the most anticipated shows on the lineup will be the latest from Justin Cassin. It’s also expected to be one of the biggest in Australian history, with over 2000 guests attending.
The Justin Cassin Resort 2020 Collection will be presented Wednesday, May 15 at Sydney’s Luna Park, by a variety of talented Aussie runway models including former Olympian Michael Klim, AFL footballer Jaeger O’Meara and Neighbours actor Tim Kano. The accompanying live soundtrack will be performed by Melbourne songstress Owl Eyes and Thelma Plum, straight from her stint at Groovin’ the Moo.
The Resort 2020 Collection features contemporary styles that fuse comfortable streetwear aesthetics with classic menswear for a unique blend of laid-back sophistication. The Justin Cassin brand is inspired by the need to provide strong independent men with stylish, functional, quality apparel that will live through the seasons.
Justin Cassin was born in Sydney, before moving to the United States and studying fashion in New York. He worked for several fashion designers over the following decade before starting his own label. Cassin is primarily based in Los Angeles and frequently travels between Hong Kong and Sydney.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia runs from May 12 – 17. You can find highlights from the schedule here. Justin’s ready-to-wear apparel is found via the link below. His Resort 2020 Collection is expected to join the readily available styles over the coming months.
