While you’re at it, take a look at the fresh faces and breakout models who are taking over the FW20 catwalk.
One of the buzziest emerging designers in New York, Sandy Liang staged her FW20 show at her alma mater, Stuyvesant High School. Youthful models wore fresh-face makeup, with minimal product applied except for a generous coat of mascara. The undone, schoolgirl-cool hair is also apropos for the setting.
At AREA, glamor is given a new twist with models’ long hair wrapped around their necks like headscarves. The brand’s signature bling has also found home on crystal headpieces that look like sparkly strands of hair.
Naeemah LaFond, Global Artistic Director of Amika, was enlisted to create the artful hairstyles for the Christopher John Rogers show. Dramatic, cloud-shaped hair and retro curls were complemented by ’90s lip liner, bold red lips and Swarovski crystal-adorned brows, courtesy of makeup artist Marcelo Gutierrez.
Held off-site this season in sunny Los Angeles, the Tom Ford show saw models like Bella Hadid wearing sleek, side-swept hair accessorized with a single, statement-making floral hair clip. Perfectly arched eyebrows, nude lips and night out-appropriate bronzy, smokey eyes completed the look.
