Chicken Salad Chick Announces Return of ‘Cookies for a CURE’ Initiative to Support Pediatric Cancer Research
ATLANTA, September 4, 2025 — In a move that underscores its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Chicken Salad Chick has re-launched its ‘Cookies for a CURE’ promotion this September in collaboration with CURE Childhood Cancer. This year, the initiative is anticipated to yield the highest single-year contribution in the campaign’s history since its inception.
Since 2017, the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation has emerged as a significant player in the fight against pediatric cancer and food insecurity, donating over million to various causes linked to these issues. At the recent 2025 Chicken Salad Chick franchisee conference, the organization presented CURE Childhood Cancer with a remarkable check for 0,000. This sum encompasses contributions from both its annual Giving Card program and the Cookies for a CURE promotion, reinforcing the brand’s resolve to make a lasting impact.
Scott Deviney, President and CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, emphasized the importance of the Cookies for a CURE campaign, stating, “This initiative is among the most meaningful we engage in, and the overwhelming support from our guests has motivated us to elevate our contributions. With our expanding network of restaurants, we aspire to enhance our support for the children and families challenged by childhood cancer. Our partnership with CURE remains integral to our mission of serving communities during their critical times of need.”
As part of this campaign, Chicken Salad Chick will feature the Lemon Burst Buttercream Cookie. This delectable treat, adorned with a natural lemon zest buttercream frosting, serves as a symbol of childhood cancer awareness, represented by the gold ribbon. Proceeds from all cookie sales during September will be directed entirely to CURE Childhood Cancer, helping to finance essential research and patient support initiatives.
Kristin Connor, CEO of CURE Childhood Cancer, praised Chicken Salad Chick’s ongoing commitment, stating, “The dedication shown by Chicken Salad Chick to support children battling cancer inspires us annually. The Cookies for a CURE campaign not only generates crucial funds for research and the wellbeing of these children but also demonstrates to families that their communities stand beside them in this daunting fight. We are sincerely thankful for their generosity, which effectually transforms lives.”
Founded in 2014 by Kevin and Stacy Brown along with Earlon and Betty McWhorter, the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation has a dual mission: combating cancer and alleviating hunger. Through initiatives such as ‘Cookies for a CURE,’ the Foundation cultivates a culture of philanthropy that extends across the entire Chicken Salad Chick family, reaffirming its commitment to making a difference in local communities.
As the ‘Cookies for a CURE’ campaign rolls out, it serves as a reminder that collective action can lead to significant positive changes in the lives of vulnerable populations.
