She lamented, “I have a lot of reoccurring families that come to me that have children with severe mental illnesses such as my son that are not getting lasting services that are helpful to them.”
State Senator Steve Stadelman addressed the assembly, announcing critical updates regarding the state budget, which has allocated funds for the demolition of the Singer Mental Health Center. This initiative aims to prepare the site for redevelopment, though specific plans remain uncertain. Senator Stadelman noted, “We approved 0 million to help state and local governments redevelop the property. It’s been sitting vacant, and we are setting aside dollars to assist local developers and governments in finding a use for it.”
