Bookings increase after Queen Anne’s maiden voyage

by Topwitty

In May, a record number of customers booked Queen Anne Europe itineraries, surpassing any equivalent period in history. The 3,000-passenger vessel embarked on its maiden voyage on May 3 and returned to its Southampton homeport on May 24 for a ‘British Isles Festival’ voyage, including a stop in Liverpool where Queen Anne was officially named. The naming ceremony saw an estimated 50,000 people in attendance, with thousands more lining the banks of the River Mersey to catch a glimpse of Queen Anne’s arrival. Cunard garnered over 21 million impressions on social media channels on the day of the event.

Cunard President, Katie McAlister, credited the record bookings to the hard work and dedication of the entire team. She expressed enthusiasm in welcoming new guests aboard Queen Anne and the rest of the fleet.
