Kokomo Pediatrics Transitions to Jane Pauley Community Health Center: A Step Towards Enhanced Healthcare Accessibility
Kokomo, Indiana – In a significant development for pediatric healthcare in the region, Kokomo Pediatrics has officially transitioned to the Jane Pauley Community Health Center as of January 13, 2024. Previously known as the North Central Indiana Pediatric Center, this move marks one of seven practices recently announced to shift from Community Health Network to the Indianapolis-based nonprofit organization. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), the Jane Pauley Community Health Center is dedicated to delivering essential medical services to underserved populations.
CEO Marc Hackett expressed optimism regarding the transition, emphasizing the center’s commitment to expanding access to quality pediatric care. “We are thrilled to bring our services to the Kokomo community,” Hackett stated in a recent press release. “By managing this trusted pediatric practice, we are not only expanding our reach but also continuing our commitment to making healthcare more affordable and accessible for families. Our goal is to provide top-tier care to children and their families, ensuring they can live healthy lives without worrying about the costs.”
Located at 3611 S. Reed Road, the Kokomo facility offers a comprehensive range of services, including routine checkups, vaccinations, sick visits, preventive care, and behavioral health services. Notably, it also provides financial assistance options for families with limited insurance or low incomes, reinforcing the center’s mission of inclusivity in healthcare.
Hackett further underscored the organization’s philosophy: “We believe every child deserves access to the best possible healthcare, regardless of their family’s financial situation. This expansion is just the beginning of our effort to ensure that families in Kokomo have the resources and support they need to thrive.”
The announcement of the transition, made in early January 2024, aligns with a broader effort by the Jane Pauley Community Health Center to enhance healthcare delivery across central Indiana. Community Health Network leaders have supported this shift, noting that the change will empower these practices to better serve their respective communities. As an FQHC, the Jane Pauley Community Health Center can access additional funding and resources, allowing it to reach individuals who may have faced challenges in accessing
