In an increasingly fast-paced world, prioritizing mental well-being has never been more essential. Recognizing the need for mindfulness and stress reduction, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is pleased to announce the continuation of its “Mindful Wednesdays” and “Mindful Thursdays” program, designed to offer members of the WPI community a respite from daily stressors.
These drop-in meditation sessions are open to all students, faculty, and staff, regardless of their meditation experience. Under the guidance of a certified meditation instructor, participants can engage in structured mindfulness exercises tailored to accommodate both beginners and those with more advanced skills. The sessions aim to provide individuals with the techniques and tools necessary to integrate mindfulness into their everyday lives, ultimately fostering a greater sense of peace and focus.
Mindful Thursdays take place from 2:15 PM to 2:35 PM in the Center for Well-Being, located in Daniels Hall, Room 102E. For those unable to attend in person, remote participation is facilitated through Zoom, using the following link: Zoom Meeting.
In addition to the weekly meditation sessions, participants will receive a comprehensive email each Friday dubbed “Mindfulness Tools To-Go.” This resource offers a compilation of meditation insights, reflective poetry shared during the week, and various mindful resources to enrich the participants’ practice.
