easyJet has recently unveiled plans to introduce a new year-round route between Liverpool and Malta, with flights set to commence on December 10, 2024. Operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Sundays throughout the year, this new route marks the fourth addition to easyJet’s Liverpool network in the past year.
Malta, known for its stunning coastlines, clear waters, and abundant sunshine, is a popular destination offering a mix of cultural experiences, beach relaxation, and adventurous activities like scuba diving. Travelers can also opt for package holidays to Malta through easyJet holidays, with options ranging from family-friendly resorts like the 4* db San Antonio Hotel and Spa to adults-only luxury at the 4* Seaview Hotel in St. Pauls Bay.
Ali Gayward, UK Country Manager for easyJet, expressed enthusiasm for the new route, highlighting the increased connectivity and choice it offers to travelers in the North West. Similarly, Paul Winfield, Aviation Director for LJLA, welcomed the addition of this service to Malta, emphasizing the growing popularity of the destination among holidaymakers in the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
With a fleet of seven aircraft based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, easyJet serves around 2 million passengers annually, operating up to 340 flights per week to 27 destinations. The airline, which has been in operation for nearly three decades, has flown over 800 million customers and continues to expand its network across Europe and beyond.
In addition to flight services, easyJet holidays provides a wide range of package deals to over 100 destinations in Europe and North Africa, with travel dates available until October 2025. All holiday packages include flights, accommodation, 23kg luggage, and transfers, backed by easyJet’s Ultimate Flexibility policy, which allows for booking changes, refunds, and price guarantees.
