Chino Hills Community Foundation Announces Scholarships for Youth Summer Camp
The Chino Hills Community Foundation has launched an initiative to support economically disadvantaged youth aged 6 to 12 by offering scholarships for the City of Chino Hills’ summer day camp program. These scholarships, known as the 2025 Bill Hughes Memorial Scholarship, aim to reduce financial barriers for families and foster participation in enriching activities designed to enhance children’s physical and creative skills.
Running from June 2 to August 1, the summer camp will take place at the Mystic Canyon and Grand Avenue Park community buildings. Children will engage in a diverse array of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and various indoor experiences, creating a well-rounded environment for personal development and social interaction.
Eligibility for the scholarships is contingent upon factors such as family size and household annual gross income, making it essential for applicants to present accurate financial information. Notably, only first-time applicants will be considered for the scholarship opportunities, ensuring that new participants have the chance to benefit from this community-focused program.
In an age where the costs associated with organized youth activities can be prohibitively high, such initiatives serve a critical role in promoting inclusivity and access to vital developmental resources. The Chino Hills Community Foundation is committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their socio-economic status, have the opportunity to participate in formative and enjoyable experiences throughout the summer months.
Applications for the 2025 Bill Hughes Memorial Scholarship will be accepted until February 27, providing families with ample time to gather necessary documentation and complete the application process. Interested parties can find further information and submit applications online at the official website: chinohillsfoundation.com/Chino-Hills-Summer-Day-Camp.

This initiative by the Chino Hills Community Foundation not only alleviates financial burdens but also supports the overarching goal of cultivating a vibrant, engaged, and joyful community for its youth.
